I'm Ellie, a young pup who had a rough start but is now ready to embrace life with wiggles and smiles! I was found with a broken leg, but after some much-needed healing, I'm a whole new dog. My favorite thing to do is snuggle under blankets and let out a big yawn when I've found the perfect cozy spot. I even smile in my sleep and get so excited when you say hello that my tail wags a mile a minute! I love rolling in the grass and going for zoomies, but my ideal day involves a moderate amount of exercise followed by a good nap on the couch. I'm a good girl and sleep soundly while my foster parents work. I'm fully potty trained, loyal, and I patiently wait for permission to enjoy my meals. I'm a big marshmallow who can be a little nervous when you leave, but with a solid routine, lots of positive reinforcement, patience, and love, I know I can be the best pup. I'm food-motivated, which makes learning new things a breeze! I know how to sit, shake, stay, wait, and come, and I'm working on "down." I would love to learn more on a one-on-one basis, as group settings aren't for me.
Ideal Home
I need a home where I can be the center of attention as the only dog. I get nervous when my people leave, so a consistent routine and lots of love are key.
Ongoing Health
I had a broken leg that has since healed. I am crate trained and prefer my sturdy, reinforced crate.
Training & Support
I am leash reactive, especially towards other dogs, and will need a patient owner to help me build confidence and learn to walk calmly. I'm working on learning "down" but am eager to learn more with positive reinforcement.
