Meet Jake! This handsome chocolate brindle boy is about a year old and 45 pounds of playful, curious energy. Jake is currently in his teenage phase, still learning about the world and figuring out his place in it. He came to us a bit shy, needing time to warm up to new people, places, and situations. He's not scared, but rather thoughtful, taking his time to assess things before diving in. He's looking for a patient adopter who can earn his trust and show him the ropes.
Once Jake feels comfortable, his amazing personality truly shines! He's a natural athlete who loves to be active and play. He's a whiz at puzzle toys and enjoys a good game of fetch, though his style is uniquely his own – he prefers to catch the ball with his paws, which is absolutely adorable! He's also incredibly affectionate and loves to give kisses, though he sometimes gets a little too excited and offers enthusiastic, playful nibbles. He's not being naughty, just still mastering polite greetings. A truly heartwarming quirk is his little tongue that often peeks out of the left side of his mouth when he's happy and relaxed!
Ideal Home
Jake would thrive in a calm but structured home with a securely fenced yard. He needs a family experienced with active, adolescent dogs who can provide the consistency and guidance he needs to blossom.

Jake is a healthy young dog with no known health concerns at this time.
Training & Support
Jake is still learning appropriate greeting behaviors and can be a bit too enthusiastic with kisses. He'll benefit greatly from patient guidance and positive reinforcement to help him develop self-confidence and refine his social skills.
