Walnut

Walnut is a spunky lady with a mighty personality packed into a small frame. She came to us as a stray with an injured eye. After being placed on a euthanasia list due to being "medical" at another shelter, we were able to get her out. An immediate vet exam revealed that her eye injury was old and didn't seem to bother her, so no further treatment was necessary at this time. However, she may need eye drops in the future. Despite her past, Walnut is a very sweet and goofy girl who loves to snuggle on the couch or bed and is always eager to be near her human.

Ideal Home

Walnut would do best as the only dog in the home, as she can be a bit selective with other canines and takes time to warm up. If you have other dogs, multiple meet-and-greets will be required to ensure Walnut's comfort and attitude are managed.

Ongoing Health

Walnut's eye injury is old and doesn't currently require treatment, but she may need eye drops in the future.

Training & Support

Walnut is house-trained and has basic leash manners. She is eager to please her people and loves to be by their side.
