Say hello to Biggs! He came to TCHS as a transfer from another facility. He can be timid in unfamiliar environments and appreciates gentle approaches when meeting new people. Once he warms up, he is a complete sweetheart, a big lover and wants to be lapdog. Biggs is food and treat motivated, a quick learner and eager to please his people. If you are looking for a loyal companion, Biggs is the boy for you.
We are unsure how he would do around other dogs, cats or children. Slow and proper introductions to resident pets and children are always recommended when bringing a new animal into the home. Ask a TCHS staff for tips on how to ease the transition.
Biggs would love to have durable toys to chew on and keep him entertained. Patient and consistent training using treats is a good way to work on obedience cues. Ask a TCHS staff about training and suggestions for the perfect toy for your new friend from the TCHS Re-Tail Shoppe.
*Adoption holds may be placed on available animals in person or by calling 320-252-0896. An adoption hold reserves available animals for one day after the animal is ready to be adopted. More than one adoption hold may be placed on an available animal and will be honored in the order they were received. Adoption holds are $25 plus tax, are non-refundable, non-transferable and not applied toward the adoption fee.
**Minnesota sales tax and an administrative fee ($20 for cats/dogs and $10 for small animals) will be applied to all adoptions. Donations and adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter surgeries, microchipping, vaccinating, deworming, any medical procedures, and general care of all shelter animals.
