Lily - Forever Foster wanted "Deaf"

Lily is an 8-year-old, 79-pound sweetheart who is deaf and profoundly affectionate. She was adopted from our rescue five years ago and lost her beloved owner when he passed away. After a brief period of care with a loving friend, Lily found herself needing a new home once again. She forms incredibly deep bonds with her people, wanting to be close and offering a sweet smile when she feels safe and happy. Lily is not destructive and is house-trained, but she does experience separation anxiety. The good news is that with commitment, consistency, structure, and support, her anxiety is considered fixable. A quieter home environment, perhaps with someone who works from home or a retiree, would be ideal.

Ideal Home

Lily must be the only pet in the home. A quieter environment would be most beneficial for her.

Ongoing Health

Lily is deaf. She is participating in our Forever Foster Program, which means Road to Home Rescue will cover all approved medical expenses beyond routine wellness care for the rest of her life.

Training & Support

Lily experiences separation anxiety, which can manifest as barking when she feels worried, stressed, or uncertain. However, she is not destructive. A professional trainer has assessed Lily's needs and believes her anxiety is manageable with commitment and support. The rescue will cover the cost of this trainer's guidance to help her future adopter succeed.
