Julieta

Julieta is a 7-year-old female German Shepherd mix, weighing approximately 55 lbs. This sweet girl may be a bit shy at first, but she absolutely thrives on hugs and affection! She's been with us since she was just 6 months old, rescued alongside her brother Romeo. They both received much-needed care and rehabilitation, and now Julieta is eager to find a warm, supportive family to call her own. She's very sociable, loves to play with other dogs, and is a quick learner, showing intelligence and a desire to please. Julieta walks beautifully on a leash, enjoying every sniff and exploration, and she listens well to commands. While she enjoys outdoor adventures, she also loves car rides, making her the perfect companion for your travels!

Ideal Home

We're looking for a family with a deep intention to rescue and a real understanding of the needs of a street animal. Experience in dog behavior and training is highly valued, as is a high level of patience and tolerance for a rescued dog who is still adjusting. A family who understands that rescue dogs may have past traumas and require an adjustment period will be a great fit for Julieta.

Ongoing Health

Julieta has received extensive health protocols, including being spayed, vaccinated (DHPPI, Rabies, Bordetella), dewormed, and microchipped. She has tested negative for heartworm and is up-to-date on monthly preventive medication for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. She also has a health certificate and vaccine booklet.

Training & Support

Julieta is not house-trained. Potential adopters should be aware that rescued dogs may not be potty-trained due to the challenges of providing individual training for each foster. Patience and understanding will be key to her continued success.

Transportation

Julieta is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on our next cross-country trip. Transportation to the adopter's home address is available for a fee.
