Mona

Mona is a gorgeous, two-year-old Mountain Cur mix who found herself in our care through no fault of her own. Her previous owner fell on hard times, and Mona is now ready for her second chance at a wonderful, loving, and forever home. She's settling in beautifully and learning all about what it means to be a cherished dog. Mona is a sweet, smart, and active girl who already gets along well with other dogs. She's an energetic goofball with an obsession for stuffed toys – be prepared for endless fun! Volunteers have described her as wonderful, independent in a good way, and eager to explore with her nose on walks. While she has moments of wanting to greet everyone, she's a good listener when asked to return or settle. We promised Mona the rest of her life would be the best of her life, and we hope you can make that promise a reality for her.

Ideal Home

Mona is an active and energetic girl who would thrive in a home that can keep up with her playful spirit. She enjoys exploring and sniffing on walks, and while she's learning to manage her excitement when meeting new people and dogs, she responds well to guidance.

Training & Support

Mona is still learning and settling into her new life. She's a good listener when redirection is needed, especially during introductions. Her love for stuffed toys suggests she'll be highly motivated for training sessions and enrichment activities.

Transportation

Mona is located in South Carolina, and we provide transport to the Northeast weekly. Applicants not located on the East Coast should be prepared to travel to pick up their new companion.
