Charlie is a sweet, energetic boy who was left at a shelter and sadly ended up on the euthanasia list due to lack of space. Thankfully, he was given a second chance and is now ready to find his forever home. He's a Black Mouth Cur/Lab mix weighing 85–90 pounds and approximately 1½ years old. Charlie is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, crate trained, and fully potty trained. He has a fun-loving, playful personality and absolutely loves playing ball, especially tennis balls, though he enjoys a good game of keep-away with them! Charlie rides well in the car and does not struggle with anxiety. He tends to prefer female dogs over males. He is a very smart boy and already knows several commands, including heel, sit, come, stay, off (no jumping), and nice/gentle when taking treats. He is still working on “down.”
Ideal Home
Because of his size and enthusiasm, Charlie would do best in a home with teenage children or adults, as he may accidentally knock over small kids in his excitement. He would thrive with an active single person, couple, or family who enjoys outdoor adventures and would make an excellent hiking or running partner. He has not been cat tested, but his high energy level may be a bit much for a feline companion. Charlie is NOT suited for a home with no ties outs or electric fences.

Charlie is up to date on vaccinations and is heartworm negative.
Training & Support
Charlie is crate trained and fully potty trained. He knows several commands including heel, sit, come, stay, off (no jumping), and nice/gentle when taking treats. He is still working on "down." With his intelligence and eagerness to learn, he could easily excel in advanced training, agility, or even protection work.
