Jolene Rae

Meet Jolene Rae! She's a beautiful young German Shorthaired Pointer mix with gentle eyes and an even gentler heart. Her journey could have ended in tragedy, but instead it became a story of hope. She is one of six puppies rescued from a barn after another rescue reached out to us fearing the owner intended to shoot them. Thanks to Somebody To The Rescue, Jolene Rae was given the chance to find the loving family she has always deserved. Like her siblings, everyone believed she had Great Dane in her because of her size, but a DNA test told a different story: she's a German Shorthaired Pointer mix, and once you see black German Shorthaired Pointers, the resemblance becomes clear. Born in December 2025, Jolene Rae is still young and would love a family that will continue helping her build confidence and learn new things. She has so much love to give and is ready to become a cherished member of her forever family. She has overcome a difficult beginning and is now searching for the happy ending every rescue dog deserves.
