This little lady ended up at the highest kill shelter in Houston. We don't know her back story, but we do know that whoever had her for the first 7 years of her life must have loved her because she is super healthy and well trained. When she was added to the euthanasia list we couldn't let that be the end of her story, and thankfully a foster stepped up for her so we were able to save her life with minutes to spare.
Now on to the best part...Oreo herself.
Oreo is the ultimate co-pilot. She loves car rides and happily hops in, ready for whatever adventure comes next. She’s potty trained, walks beautifully on a leash, and has that perfect balance of playful and chill. She still enjoys bursts of energy zooming around the yard with a toy but is just as content lounging nearby, soaking up your company. Her gentle, loving nature shines through in everything she does, especially when she flops over for belly rubs every chance she gets.
Ideal Home
Oreo would thrive in a variety of homes, and we’re hoping to find her a family who will cherish her for the wonderful companion she is. She prefers calm companions and isn’t a fan of overly energetic dogs getting in her space; she’ll politely let them know to tone it down. Her ideal evening? A relaxed walk followed by curling up on the couch for some quality downtime with her person.
Ongoing Health
Oreo is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, on prevention, and heartworm negative. She's is a healthy middle aged gal.
