Lydia is a 48-pound, goofy, snuggle bug who is ready to find her forever family! She loves nothing more than to be snuggled up next to her human, all the way under a blanket. New people are instant friends, and she can't help but wag her tail for pets. Her favorite days involve napping, sniffing around the neighborhood on a moderate walk, and chewing on a toy or treat. Lydia enjoys chasing a squeaky ball but is usually ready for a cuddle session shortly after. She's a big fan of head and ear scratches. Her adorable polka dots make a special appearance every spring. Lydia is house-trained and content to be left alone, especially if she has a comfy spot to relax. She knows several commands, including sit, down, stay, wait, and "watch me!"
Ideal Home
Lydia would thrive in a home without young children, as she can get nervous around their unpredictability. She loves all grown-up humans and is also fine with older kids and teenagers. Lydia gets along with other dogs who have calm vibes, or she would be perfectly happy as the only dog.
Ongoing Health
All Warrior Dogs receive age-appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spay/neuter before adoption, unless a puppy is too young. If a puppy is too young for spay/neuter, the procedure is covered in the adoption fee and the owner will be responsible for completing it at a Warrior Dog Rescue Veterinarian at the appropriate time.
Training & Support
Lydia is house-trained and knows basic commands.
