Rocky is a friendly, sweet, and easy-going 6-year-old, 90 lb boy with a heart of gold. He was rescued from Houston, TX, after being found abandoned, hungry, and in need of help. Despite his past, Rocky is a well-behaved dog who enjoys leisurely walks on a leash and is both crate-trained and house-trained. He loves spending his time indoors and is a quiet companion. Rocky was previously abandoned and had to struggle for food, so he can be protective of his meals. He does best with his own bowl and food. Rocky is accustomed to large dogs, especially females, and gets along wonderfully with cats, showing no reactivity towards them. While he enjoys resting, Rocky would benefit from more activity and longer walks, which his current caregiver doesn't have the time to provide. He's looking for a best friend who will give him the exercise and attention he truly deserves.
