Sandy would do best in a home that values a slower pace and can provide a calm, stable environment where she can continue to build confidence without pressure. She is respectful and polite with other dogs and has been respectfully avoidant with cats, making feline friends welcome too.

Ongoing Health

All vetting is up to date, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, and a 12-month injectable heartworm preventative. She has also received a heartworm test and treatment if needed.

Training & Support

Sandy enjoys walks, which are a great way to build a relationship with her and help her feel secure. She is a dog who understands that love doesn't always arrive loudly, sometimes it shows up quietly, requires care, sits beside you, and stays.

Transporation

Sandy is located in Texas. Transportation is available nationwide through our rescue-run USDA-certified transport system. Drop-off locations are available in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (with pick-up options in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). An $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
