Ellie is a one-year-old bundle of joy with a million nicknames like Ellie Belly, Ellie the Elephant, Ellie Girl, Girl Dog, and her personal favorite, Baby Gazelle. She's been patiently waiting for her forever home, and we're just as puzzled as you are as to why she hasn't found it yet! Ellie is a true gem – she's wonderful with dogs, cats, and people of all ages. She's incredibly friendly and would likely greet everyone with a wagging tail.
Ellie has a zest for life and loves to run, so she would be happiest in a home with a good-sized yard or with an active family who enjoys outdoor activities. She absolutely thrives when she has other dogs to play with and is at her happiest when she's part of a pack. In her foster home, she's known to run and play fetch with the other dogs, living her best life. She has excellent recall, knows her basic commands (though a little practice will make them perfect!), and is always up for an adventure. After a good run, Ellie transforms into a calm and well-behaved house dog, ready to relax with her family.
Her nickname "Baby Gazelle" comes from her playful and dramatic leaps over even the smallest obstacles – it's quite a sight!
