Dax

Dax is a handsome, senior hound mix with a heart of gold. He's a sweet boy who enjoys the simple pleasures in life – soaking up the sun outdoors or snoozing on a comfy bed indoors. While Dax can be a bit shy and hesitant around new people, he forms strong bonds with those he knows and loves. In his own yard, he'll let out a big bark to announce his presence, but he's generally a well-behaved boy on walks. Dax can be particular about his canine companions and would be happiest in a home with a dog who is content to give him his space and doesn't seek out play.

Ideal Home

Dax would do best in a home where he can build trust at his own pace. He needs a calm environment and a doggy sibling who is laid-back and won't demand interaction.

Ongoing Health

Dax has an arthritic shoulder and will require ongoing medication to ensure his comfort.

Training & Support

Dax can be a bit barky in the yard when he perceives strangers, but is generally quieter on leash. He'd benefit from continued positive reinforcement to help him feel more confident with new people and situations.
