Meet Channel, an 8-month-old, 43.6 lb sweet girl who is ready to find her forever family! Channel's early life was fraught with danger. She was born on a property where corrosive cleaning products were manufactured. While security guards tried their best to care for her and her littermates, tragedy struck when they fell into an oil pit. Channel was the sole survivor and was rescued on January 4th, 2026. Since then, she has received much-needed care and has learned what love feels like. Channel is a playful and affectionate dog who enjoys attention. She gets along well with cats and other dogs, as well as men and women. She can be a bit cautious around new people at first, but her loving personality truly shines once she feels comfortable. Channel can also be nervous when left alone, so she would thrive with a family that can offer her patience, reassurance, and companionship as she continues to build her confidence. After surviving such a difficult beginning, Channel truly deserves a family that will provide her with the safety, stability, and unconditional love she has always deserved.
Ideal Home
Channel would do best in a home with a fenced backyard and an active family that enjoys outdoor activities. She needs a family that is truly committed to rescuing a dog and understands the unique needs and potential behaviors of a rescued animal. Experience with dog behavior and training is a plus, or a willingness to hire a trainer to help this intelligent dog reach her full potential. Channel also requires high tolerance and patience.
Ongoing Health
Channel has been spayed, microchipped, and is up-to-date on all vaccinations, including DHPPI, Rabies, and Bordetella. She has been dewormed, tested negative for heartworm, and received a 4DX test. She is on monthly preventive medication (Nexgard Spectra).
Training & Support
Channel is not house-trained, which is common for many rescued pets. She can also feel nervous when left alone, and will need continued patience and reassurance to build her confidence.
