Dahlia is an 11-month-old, approximately 35-pound "itty bitty labbie pittie" who is as delicate and beautiful as her namesake flower. She's a sweet, silly, snuggly, and fun-loving pup who enjoys adventures and will bring immense joy to her new family. Dahlia is an excellent companion for car rides, calmly enjoying the journey. She also has a great appetite and enjoys her meals without rushing. While she settles beautifully in her crate at night after a routine is established, she would eventually love to share the bed with her humans. She's a fantastic dog out in public and excels at making new friends, both human and canine.
Ideal Home
Dahlia would thrive in a home with another playful dog who can help her assert boundaries and teach her proper play etiquette. Given her vocal nature when left alone in her crate, homes with shared walls may need extra consideration. She is also a great candidate for a dog-friendly apartment or condo, provided she receives ample exercise. We believe she would do well with respectful children aged 8 and up who will engage in play with her. We can arrange an overnight cat test if needed.
Ongoing Health
Dahlia is up-to-date on all vetting, including DAPP vaccines with booster, Bordetella, Rabies, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, and is spayed. She is also on flea prevention and a 12-month injectable heartworm preventative. She has tested negative for heartworm.
Training & Support
Dahlia is crate and house-trained, though she may cry initially when left alone in her crate, eventually settling down. This adjustment period will need to be re-established in her new home. She is working on her leash skills and can be distracted by squirrels, but is generally very good on leash. She enjoys zoomies and gets along beautifully with the four other dogs in her foster home, including small female dogs, a medium male, and a large female. She enjoys activities like chasing pinecones and carrying sticks.

Transportation
Dahlia is currently being fostered in Marysville, WA. We offer nationwide transport with a $87 surcharge, with drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
