Duncan

Duncan is the sweetest little boy, approximately one year old and weighing in at 19 pounds. His DNA shows him to be a delightful mix of breeds, with a strong hint of Chihuahua! He loves to play, especially with his squeaky toys, and is always ready for some petting and lots of attention. Duncan is a quiet, well-behaved boy who seems to be pretty house-trained and does well on a leash, though he could benefit from a little more training. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs.

Ideal Home

Duncan would thrive in a home where he can receive plenty of affection and playtime. We do not adopt to homes with children under the age of 8.

Ongoing Health

Duncan tested positive for heartworms upon rescue and has undergone treatment according to The American Heartworm Society protocols. We typically find that dogs test negative within 4 to 6 months post-treatment. All our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated (Rabies, DHPP, Bordetella, and Canine Influenza), and on monthly preventatives for heartworms, fleas/ticks, and parasites.

Training & Support

Duncan is already pretty house-trained and walks well on a leash, but he would benefit from additional training to further refine these skills.

Duncan is currently in foster care in Houston, Texas. The adoption fee includes transportation to Glastonbury, CT.
