Howie

Howie is a 6-year-young, happy, gentle Lab-Ridgeback-Pit mix who is a total loverboy with a heart full of love to give. He was rescued from a California shelter in very rough shape, suffering from major skin issues and hair loss due to neglect. Thankfully, he's doing much better now and continues to be on a good salmon food and supplements regimen. Howie is incredibly appreciative of love and attention, and he's a very affectionate boy who loves to snuggle. He'll want to share your bed and enjoys going for walks and other outings.

Ideal Home

Howie would likely thrive as the only dog in the home or with a submissive female dog. He has been waiting a long time for his own home and needs a foster or forever home.

Ongoing Health

Howie was rescued with significant skin issues and hair loss. He is now on good salmon food and supplements to support his skin health.

Training & Support

Howie is house-trained and knows basic commands. He is good with some dogs but not others.
