Sky

Sky is a sweet boy who has spent most of his life outdoors and is now ready to experience the comfort of an indoor home. He is dog selective and would likely do best as the only dog in the household, where he can have all the attention to himself. Sky does well with kids and strangers. However, he is not suited for a home with livestock or cats. While he hasn't lived indoors for very long, Sky was housebroken when in a home for a few weeks. He has never been crated for long periods of time, so he will need patience and consistency as he learns these new skills. He does well on a leash and rides well in the car, which is a great start for continued training. Sky will need a secure yard with a tall, sturdy fence, as he has been known to climb over shorter fences and dig under weak spots. With time, structure, and understanding, Sky has the potential to thrive in a home that can help guide him through this new chapter of his life.

Ideal Home

Sky would do best as the only dog in the household. He is not suited for a home with livestock or cats. He will need a secure yard with a tall, sturdy fence.

Ongoing Health

Sky is neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. He did have a very light positive heartworm test and has finished the slow kill method of treatment. He will need to be kept on heartworm prevention until he can be retested in 2027.

Training & Support

Sky was housebroken when in a home for a few weeks but will need patience and consistency as he learns to be crated for longer periods. He does well on a leash and rides well in the car.
