Baylor Banjo is a silly, genuinely good, respectful, and thankful 50 lb boy who longs to be a cherished family member. He's got a balanced energy level, happy to lounge with a toy or join in on playtime. Baylor is an excellent car rider, a house-trained gentleman who seems to have perfect manners. He's fully vetted and reported to be a very healthy boy! We know Baylor well and can facilitate introductions with dogs of various sizes and personalities to help ensure a great fit for your home.
Ideal Home
Baylor would love a family with children, as he is wonderful with kids of all ages, even as young as 4. He enjoys playing tug-of-war, sharing toys, and giving kisses, but may need occasional gentle reminders about personal space with very young children. He would do best in a home without cats. He would also thrive with a confident, playful male dog companion who enjoys wrestling and chase, and knows when to take play breaks.
Ongoing Health
Baylor is fully vetted, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, and a 12-month heartworm preventative injection. He has tested negative for heartworm.
Training & Support
Baylor is a toy and treat-motivated learner, making him highly trainable. He has mastered "sit" and "wait," which are excellent tools for walks. He is friendly to people and has been trained not to distract them unless given permission to greet. He is also kennel-trained and can remain calm and non-reactive around other dogs who may be experiencing anxiety or high energy in their crates.
