This intelligent and active two-year-old mixed breed is searching for his forever adventure partner. Django, weighing in at about 50 pounds, has a handsome black coat with white accents and a curious gaze that takes in the world. He forms deep bonds with his people and greets them with enthusiastic joy, making every reunion feel like the best moment of the day!
Django is a dog who thrives on both connection and having a job to do. He loves to snuggle up close for affection and enjoys quiet naps near his favorite people once he feels secure. But don't let his cuddly side fool you; he's also an enthusiastic explorer! Django adores toys of all kinds, especially for a game of fetch. He enjoys walks, runs, and even swimming, often proudly carrying a stick or ball as if it's his important mission. His bright mind loves to be engaged, and he excels with positive reinforcement training, already knowing many cues.
Ideal Home
Django would thrive in a quieter, child-free, and cat-free home, ideally as the only dog. He needs an active family who understands reactive dogs and enjoys continuing his training and providing consistent guidance.

Django currently takes daily Fluoxetine to help manage anxiety.
Training & Support
Django experiences fear-based reactivity towards unfamiliar noises, unexpected distractions, and other dogs on leash, requiring thoughtful management and a predictable routine. He also has a history of resource guarding with other animals around food, toys, or personal space, and a past incident with a nip involving an unfamiliar person. Meeting new people outside and allowing him time to warm up is beneficial.
