About Doce

Doce (pronounced, "doe-say" which means 12 in Spanish!) is a young, energetic, social puppy of approximately 5-6 months old. She was rescued with her brother, Once (11 in Spanish!). Doce currently weighs about 28 lbs and is expected to mature into a smaller medium-sized dog, perhaps between 35-40 lbs. She absolutely loves activity – running, jumping, and playing! While she hasn't quite mastered fetch, she'll chase anything with enthusiasm, even if the return trip is a bit delayed. She initially followed her brother's lead but is starting to develop her own personality as she prepares for a foster home. Doce is very friendly with humans and will be placed in foster care soon where she'll continue to learn about socialization outside of her rescue environment, as well as how to be a family dog, including leash walking and adjusting to a routine. She has an abundance of love to give! Her adorable, soft coat and warm eyes are sure to steal your heart, and the cute black spots on her ears are a beautiful testament to the unique mixed breeds from the island. Doce will be a wonderful companion, but remember, she is still a puppy. Patience and consistent training will be key as she grows into adulthood.
