My name is Shadow, and I'm your new best friend waiting to be found! I'm a velcro dog who absolutely adores attention from my humans. The vet estimates I'm around 7-8 months old, so I've got plenty of puppy energy to share. I currently weigh about 60 lbs and appear to be an Anatolian Shepherd mix. I'm a bit shy and submissive at first, but once I trust you, my playful and silly personality truly shines! I love a good game of Chuckit, going for walks, and spending time with both dogs and people. While I don't have a mean bone in my body, I can get a little nervous and might cower or spin out of a situation if I feel scared. I'm a good leash walker and enjoy exploring the world on our adventures. I'm also very food-motivated and not picky, so I might even help you with those less-than-favorite foods! I'm crate-trained and consider my crate my own cozy room. I do my business outdoors when taken out regularly, but I do have a habit of marking indoors, especially on Amazon boxes, so I wear a belly band. I get along well with dogs, people, and older children. I do tend to chase smaller critters, so I'm likely not the best fit for cats or other small animals.
Ideal Home
A fenced yard would be wonderful for me to run and play freely, though I also do well on leashed walks. I would love to have a canine sibling to share my adventures with!
Ongoing Health
All my vetting is up-to-date, including neuter surgery, a heartworm test, vaccinations, deworming, flea prevention, a microchip, and a wellness exam.
Training & Support
I know "come here"! I'm currently working on "sit" and "go away." I'm house-trained for outdoor potty breaks but sometimes mark indoors, so I wear a belly band.
