About Bear

Bear is a wonderful German Shepherd mix who came to us after Animal Control found him with a shattered jaw, likely from an injury. Thankfully, he received the surgery he needed and is now living a pain-free life at our sanctuary! Bear is a social butterfly who gets along well with the three other dogs he currently shares a pen with. He absolutely loves attention from staff and is a big fan of playing fetch. Bear is a big baby once he gets to know you and just wants to play!

Ideal Home

Bear can be a bit shy around strangers, but once he trusts you, he's a big, playful sweetheart. He enjoys the company of other dogs.

Ongoing Health

Bear has been diagnosed with mild hip dysplasia. While it's not affecting him now, it will need to be monitored as he ages, and he may eventually require pain medication.

Training & Support

Bear walks well on a leash. He can be shy initially but warms up quickly.
