Ernie

Meet Ernie, a charming 8-year-old, 12-pound male poodle mix with a heart full of love to give! Ernie is a handsome boy with a fluffy white coat that's as soft as can be. He's a sweet soul who's looking for a patient and understanding adopter to help him blossom. Ernie has overcome some past traumas and would thrive with an adopter who has dog experience and can provide him with the guidance and reassurance he needs to feel secure. He's a smart boy who is already housetrained and generally friendly with new people. Ernie can be a little vocal, but he's a delight once he settles in. He's also good with other dogs and cats, making him a versatile companion.

Ideal Home

Ernie would do best in a home with experienced dog owners who can provide him with a stable and loving environment. He is not a good fit for homes with children.

Ongoing Health

Ernie is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and microchipped. He's a healthy boy ready for his forever home!

Training & Support

Ernie has some past traumas that he's working through, so an adopter with dog experience is highly recommended. He's already housetrained, but may need continued positive reinforcement to build confidence.

Transportation

Ernie is located in Rockville, MD. We place dogs within a one-hour drive from Rockville, MD, and concentrate our adoptions in these areas only. We take all animals to the home visit and meet and greet before they are adopted.
