Athena is a sweet and energetic pup who is ready to find her forever home! She's got a playful spirit and a heart full of love to give. Athena is eager to please and would make a wonderful companion for an active family.
Ideal Home
Athena would thrive in a home where she can get plenty of exercise and attention. Homes with children should have a fenced yard. Athena is not suited for homes with intact dogs unless they are a working member of a law enforcement or search and rescue/recovery team, are actively being shown and registered with the AKC, or a veterinarian has determined sterilization would harm the dog.
Ongoing Health
Athena is up-to-date on all her vaccinations and has been spayed.
Training & Support
Athena is a smart girl who is eager to learn. She is working on her house training and would benefit from continued positive reinforcement training. We encourage Force Free Training Methods and do not approve of methods or devices using pain or force to control the dog, or to deter undesirable behavior. If your home has highly varnished steps or floors, please ensure there are non-slip surfaces for Athena's safety.

- Approved adopters must reside in Delaware, Maryland, Michigan, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, or parts of North Carolina and Kentucky.
- Applicants must be at least 21 years of age and a homeowner.
- Renters must obtain permission from their landlord to adopt.
- Homes with children under 6 years of age are not suitable for giant breed dogs.
- Applications will be denied if anyone in the household has a history of drug/alcohol abuse, theft, or violence.
- Pets currently in the home must have a history of appropriate veterinary care.
Transportation
Athena is currently located in Pennsylvania. Transport may be available to approved adopters within our service area.
