Meet Tony! This adorable Chihuahua puppy is about 6 months old and weighs a mere 5.2 pounds. Tony has long legs and the cutest ears, giving him a deer-like appearance. He's a sweet pup with a big personality, though he can be a bit shy when first meeting new people. Tony isn't one for immediate cuddles or being scooped up, preferring to build trust at his own pace. Once he's comfortable, he'll happily snuggle up beside you on the couch and enjoy your company quietly. Tony was an owner surrender, and thankfully, he's now safe and ready for a loving forever home. He loves to play with toys and has a quirky habit of collecting his favorite humans' shoes to cuddle with while he naps. At bedtime, he loves to sleep with his family, feeling like part of the pack.
Ideal Home
Tony would thrive in a moderately active home with another small, playful dog, as he seems to need a canine companion to learn from. He'd also do best with a family that is home regularly, as he can be vocal when left alone. An apartment is not ideal due to his tendency to bark at unfamiliar noises. Tony would do best with older, respectful children (13 and up) who understand his need for patience.
Ongoing Health
Tony is neutered, microchipped, up to date on all his vaccinations, heartworm negative, and is on heartworm prevention.
Training & Support
Tony is doing well with potty training when taken out regularly and also uses puppy pads as a backup. He can be vocal when left alone, so continued support in building his confidence and security will be beneficial. Patience and consistency are key to helping Tony settle in and grow his confidence.
