Meet Juice, a 4-year-old, 56 lb Black Mouth Cur mix with soulful eyes and a heart full of love to give. He's a sweet and charming boy who has overcome a lot and is now searching for a calm, loving sanctuary to call his own. Juice adores his toys and enjoys quiet time with his favorite person, often resting his head and paw on your arm as a sweet gesture of affection. While he can be a bit shy and cautious around new people, gentle and slow introductions will help him build trust, and once he does, he'll be your most loyal companion.
Ideal Home
Juice would thrive in a quiet home with patient, soft-spoken adults. He needs a home without cats, as he will chase them. He would also be happiest as the only dog in the household, where he can receive all the love and attention.
Ongoing Health
Juice has shown some food aggression with other dogs, but with routine and stability, he has made great progress. He eats separately in his crate. He may still guard high-value treats, which can be managed by respecting his boundaries.
Training & Support
Juice pulls on the leash when excited and is working on this. He responds best to patience and kindness; harsh corrections can make him feel guilty and cower. He is crated when left alone due to his love for chewing and has had some potty accidents. He sleeps well through the night in his crate. Juice does great in the car, though he might need a little help getting in.
