Meet Loki!
Loki is a charming 3-year-old Terrier mix, weighing in at about 11 pounds. He’s a loyal companion with a heart of gold and a handsome wire-haired coat to match! Loki came to us from Saltillo, Mexico, where he was found wandering near a school. Concerned community members ensured his safety, and after a brief stay at a vet clinic, he joined our rescue program to receive the care and love he deserved. Now, he's healthy, safe, and ready to embark on his journey to find his forever home.
Ideal Home
Loki would thrive in a home with a fenced backyard and an active family that enjoys spending time outdoors. He's looking for a family with a genuine intention to rescue a dog, understanding the unique needs and behaviors of street animals that require protection and education. Experience with dog behavior and training is highly valued, or a commitment to hiring a trainer to help this intelligent pup reach his full potential. Patience and tolerance are key, as Loki is not yet house-trained.
Ongoing Health
Loki has received a comprehensive health protocol including: spay/neuter certificate, DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, microchip, a 4DX test, a negative heartworm test, and monthly preventive protection with Nexgard Spectra. He also has a health certificate and vaccination booklet.
Training & Support
Loki is not house-trained and will require dedicated training and patience in his new home. It's important to understand that rescued dogs may need time to adjust and build trust due to past experiences. Providing a safe, loving environment, establishing a routine, and setting clear boundaries will help Loki feel secure and strengthen your bond.

- If it's a potential match, we'll arrange a call or video chat to introduce you to Loki and conduct a virtual home tour.
- We will also speak with 1-2 of your references.
- Upon approval, you'll sign the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee, which helps cover Loki's veterinary care, vaccinations, microchip, and food, ensuring he's ready for his new life.
Transportation
Loki is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is available for transport to the East Coast of the United States on our next scheduled cross-country trip. A transport fee of $400 USD applies and covers door-to-door delivery. Our transport process includes a dedicated team, all necessary legal documentation (including a USDA Health Certificate), real-time updates during the journey, and a final home delivery with a home review.
