Melody - Beautiful Poet

Melody is a beautiful and intelligent 5-6 year old, 60lb German Shepherd with a heart full of love to give. She was found to be a very thoughtful and observant dog who penned a beautiful poem about her desire for a loving home. Melody is excellent on a leash and enjoys walks, but after a day of exploring, she's happy to cuddle up with her favorite human. She enjoys playing fetch and is a big fan of a soft bed and a good snuggle. Melody is known to be good with horses, cows, goats, and donkeys, but she is selective with other dogs, preferring smaller dogs over larger ones, and would likely do best as the only dog in the home.

Ideal Home

Melody would love a home where she can explore and be by your side. She would do best in a home without other large dogs, and while she's okay with smaller dogs, a single-dog household might be ideal for her.

Ongoing Health

Melody is a healthy dog who has been cared for at the Rescue Ranch.

Training & Support

Melody is already leash-trained and enjoys her walks. She's eager to please and will happily trade active play for cozy evenings.

Transporation

Melody is currently being fostered at our Rescue Ranch near Houston, TX. She can be transported to a location near you via rescue transport, which runs once a month. Transport is provided at no additional charge to you.
