Marvin

Marvin is a charming and intelligent dog who loves to be by your side. He walks beautifully on a leash and enjoys his daily strolls, but he's also happy to entertain himself in the yard with his independent spirit. Marvin has a special fondness for his people, especially those he knows and trusts. He's been around children as young as 3 and has done very well with them. Marvin's favorite pastime is quietly observing the world from his window perch, making him a delightful neighborhood observer. He's not only well-mannered but also very smart, knowing commands like "go poopoo," "sit," "wait," "go lay down," and "get back." He'll even head into his kennel on command, and a simple "thank you" is enough to quiet his barking. If you're seeking a loyal, easygoing companion with great manners and a sweet personality, Marvin might be your perfect match.

Marvin enjoys a mix of outdoor exploration and indoor relaxation. He's shown to be great with children aged 3 and up.

Training & Support

Marvin is a smart boy who knows several commands and responds well to redirection. A simple "thank you" is enough to calm his barking. He also readily goes into his kennel when directed.

Marvin is located at the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter. You can meet him at our main shelter at 1855 SE Inner Loop, Georgetown, TX 78626, or at our satellite location, the Red Poppy Adoptique, located at 110 W L Walden Dr, Georgetown, TX 78626. Both locations are open daily from noon to 6pm (excluding limited holidays/events). Appointments can be made by emailing adoption@wilcotx.gov.
