Meet Hershey, a sweet 3.5-year-old, 42-pound Pit Bull Terrier/Bulldog mix with a heart as big as her love for cuddles! Hershey was found wandering the streets of Houston, but thankfully, a kind foster opened their home to her. Since then, she's blossomed into an affectionate, loyal, and easygoing companion who is ready to find her forever family. She loves being by your side, whether it's snuggling on the couch or following you around the house. Hershey is a true people-pleaser who thrives when she's part of the family's daily life.
Ideal Home
Hershey is a house-trained and crate-trained pup who walks nicely on a leash. She enjoys exploring the neighborhood and loves to let out a little bark to let you know someone's at the door! She has a playful spirit and enjoys zoomies in a yard, but also loves her quiet indoor time. Loud noises like fireworks and thunderstorms can startle her, so a calm and secure environment during these times would be ideal. Hershey has a positive history with children and would do well in a home with respectful kids. She's also made good progress with other dogs and has a bouncy play style. She would do best as the only pet in the home to soak up all the attention, or with a calm, tolerant dog who doesn't mind her enthusiastic approach to play. We don't have history with cats, so slow, supervised introductions or a cat-free home would be best.
