Riley

Riley is an energetic, affectionate, and smart 3.5-year-old German Shepherd who weighs approximately 50 pounds. She is a curious and alert girl who would likely excel in activities like agility. Riley is friendly with people of all ages and lives with two children, ages 7 and 9, who she is fine with. She enjoys car rides and might love a game of fetch.

Riley would do best in a home without cats.

Ongoing Health

Riley is healthy and up-to-date on her distemper/parvo and rabies vaccinations. She has yet to be spayed, but a $500 refundable deposit will be required to ensure she is spayed within 90 days of adoption. The deposit will be refunded upon proof of spaying.

Training & Support

Riley can be reactive towards other dogs on walks, but she has shown she can get along with some dogs. If you have another dog, a confident, large male dog is suggested. She has a tendency to jump up when she first meets people, which is understandable given her previous limited contact. She has not had accidents inside when given the opportunity, suggesting she will likely become housetrained quickly. An adopter with some experience will be best suited to help Riley channel her energy after being confined for so long.
