Meet Wetherby, a Long-Stay Legend who has been patiently waiting for his forever family for over a year! He's a sweet, loving, playful, and goofy dog who is also quite smart and knows basic commands. Wetherby enjoys a good walk and also loves a cozy nap. He's house-trained, potty-trained, and polite around food. While he might bark a bit at new people initially, he quickly settles down once he gets to know them. He walks well on leash, though squirrels can be a tempting distraction! Wetherby has shown tolerance towards other dogs at a distance and is unbothered by common environmental noises like motorcycles and sirens. He's a fantastic car rider and even tolerates bath time like a champ. He's crate-trained and sleeps well in his crate. Wetherby has been working through some separation anxiety, which has significantly improved with familiarity and routine. He'll do best in a patient home where he can settle in and adjust to his new family. Once comfortable, he loves to be part of the action and spend quality time with his people.
