River - Chiweenie Cuties

River is a darling Chiweenie (Chihuahua and Dachshund mix) who arrived in rescue as a very young pup. He's about 11 weeks old and currently weighs 4.6 lbs. River and his siblings are full of puppy energy and are ready to bring tons of joy and love into their new homes! They are tiny but mighty, and we are confident that with consistent training and a loving environment, they will grow into the best canine companions. River is a bundle of personality in a small package, and we can't wait for him to find his forever family!

Ideal Home

River would do best in a home with older children (8+) who understand how to interact gently with small dogs. His small size means he can be vulnerable to wildlife, so he should never be left unattended outdoors. A fenced yard would be ideal for supervised playtime. While experience with small dogs or this breed mix is a plus, it's not required.

Ongoing Health

River has been vetted, neutered, microchipped, and is up-to-date on all his vaccinations. He has received a clean bill of health from our veterinarian.

Training & Support

As a young puppy, River will need guidance with housebreaking, crate training, and leash walking. Consistency and positive reinforcement will be key to his success. He gets along well with other dogs and we believe with a slow and proper introduction, he would likely do well with cats too.
