Meet Macie, our brindle beauty!
I'm Macie, an 8-year-old mature lady hoping to find my special person to spend forever with. I came to STAF from a rural county shelter. I don't ask for much – just someone who will love me, take care of me, and understand my little quirks. Once I settle into a routine, I absolutely shine! I'm loyal to a fault once I know I'm safe and loved. Walks are my favorite pastime – trails, neighborhoods, you name it! I also adore curling up in your lap for pets and cuddles afterward. I do well passing other dogs on walks and even enjoy small playgroups at daycare (the smaller dogs and calmer crowd are my style). I'm also brave, but I'll admit thunderstorms make me a little nervous. My thunder jacket and some medication help me feel safe during those rumbly times.
Ideal Home
Children tend to make me uneasy, so I'd do best in a home without them. Due to increasing coyote activity and the difficulty of predicting how a dog will respond to invisible fence training, we cannot adopt to homes with invisible fences.
Ongoing Health
I'm spayed/neutered and current on shots. Thunderstorms make me a little nervous, but my thunder jacket and some medication help me feel safe.
Training & Support
I can be a bit anxious when meeting new people or facing new situations. I do well passing other dogs on walks and even enjoy small playgroups at daycare (the smaller dogs and calmer crowd are my style).
