About Wes Anderson Welcome Wagon

Sunshine in dog form, with the perfect balance of social butterfly energy and goofy charm – that's Wes! Watch him in action here: https://youtu.be/jsGGaDWikE0. Wes is estimated to be just over a year old and weighs around 51 lbs. He appears to be a lab/pittie mix with a happy-go-lucky, people-loving personality that shines through in everything he does. Wes wakes up ready to enjoy life and wants to bring you along for the ride! He has a warm, welcoming energy that makes him instantly lovable, leaning in when meeting new people and adoring affection.

Ideal Home

Wes is wonderfully social with other dogs and would thrive with a medium-energy canine companion to play with. He's happy to match a higher-energy dog's vibe, but a balanced playmate is ideal. He would do well in a home with a yard or an apartment, as long as his person enjoys getting out and about with him for hikes, patio hangs, and neighborhood strolls. Wes can get a little vocal, so apartment living isn't ideal. A house with a yard is a dream for him to play and roll around in the grass. Wes met the resident cat with enthusiasm and kisses, so he'll do best with a dog-savvy cat who can set boundaries.

Ongoing Health

No specific health conditions are mentioned, but the adoption fee includes all vetting, vaccinations (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies), deworming, flea prevention, a 12-month heartworm preventative injection, heartworm testing and treatment if needed, and a microchip.

Training & Support

Wes is still growing out of puppy enthusiasm on leash and can be a puller when he sees other dogs, not out of reactivity but excitement. He responds well to corrections and is treat-motivated, so with consistency and treats, he will polish up nicely. He takes treats gently and has great manners around food, even with other dogs. Wes also has an "off switch" after playtime and is happy to settle down.
