Meet Archer! He's a handsome 1.5-year-old, 80-pound German Shepherd mix with a big heart and an even bigger personality. Archer is a goofy, smart, and affectionate boy who loves to be involved with his people. He thrives when he's kept busy, both mentally and physically. His favorite pastimes include playing fetch with balls and frisbees, chasing a flirt stick, and learning new tricks. He already knows basic commands, walks nicely on a leash, and is making great progress with his reactivity with his foster family. Archer is loyal, sweet, and forms strong bonds with those he trusts. With proper introductions, he's also comfortable meeting new people.

Ideal Home

Archer would do best in a home that understands his needs and is committed to continuing his training and confidence-building. He'd thrive in a rural or lower-density setting with a securely fenced yard. An adopter with experience handling reactive dogs or shepherd-type breeds would be ideal. A quieter environment, free from constant animal or neighborhood activity, would help him feel most comfortable.
