About Freya

Freya is a stunning Doberman with a heart as big as her personality! Born on November 18, 2019, she's past the whirlwind puppy stage but still has plenty of that joyful sparkle and enthusiasm for life. She absolutely loves car rides, indulging in pup cups, and exploring new trails. Freya is happiest when she's a true member of the family, and with her sleek physique and beautiful chocolate coat, she looks fabulous in any color, but especially vibrant hues like bright pink, sunny yellow, or light blue!

Ideal Home

Freya would thrive in a home where she can be your "one and only" pet, allowing for a calmer environment. She is too curious about cats and would not be a good fit for a home with feline friends. While she can be selective with canine companions, with slow introductions, decompression time, and a submissive, respectful dog, she "may" do well, but her ideal situation is as the sole furry member of the household. Her ideal home is active, committed, and ready to include her in everyday life, seeking a smart, loyal, and adventurous companion.

Ongoing Health

Freya's adoption fee of $300 includes her spay surgery, microchip, and she is up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations and monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.

Training & Support

Freya is highly intelligent and eager to learn, listening well to commands and picking them up quickly. She enjoys having a job to do and thrives with structure and consistency. Daily exercise and mental stimulation are essential for her. While fully house-trained and a good crate companion, she is still working on leash manners, which are improving with practice. She will alert you to anything out of the ordinary, a testament to her watchdog nature. Freya is still polishing her food manners and can get enthusiastic around food, sometimes forgetting her strength. With continued training and consistency, she is making great progress. Because of her food enthusiasm, she would do best in an adult-only home or one with older teens (15+) who understand boundaries around food and can help reinforce calm, polite behavior.
