Meet Loofah, a 2-year-old female English Bulldog with a heart of gold and a personality as soft as her name suggests. Despite her previous life not being full of pampering, Loofah has blossomed since joining rescue. She's undergone a transformation, including being spayed, having surgery to improve her breathing, and repairing her cherry eyes. While she'll need lifelong eye drops due to chronic dry eye, think of it as part of her charming daily skincare routine. She's fully vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to embrace the life she deserves. Loofah can be a bit timid initially, especially with new people, loud noises, or quick movements. She's also still learning to love leashes, sometimes needing a little gentle encouragement to venture outside. However, once she feels safe, Loofah is an absolute lovebug. She adores cuddling on the couch, giving sweet kisses, and has a charming habit of nibbling toes to show affection. She's a champion napper and has already mastered crate training and housebreaking.
Ideal Home
Loofah truly thrives with canine companionship. A confident, playful resident dog is a must-have, as she relies on other dogs to help her navigate the world. She also needs a securely fenced yard while she continues to build confidence with leash walking. Due to her sensitivity to sudden noises and fast movements, a home without young children is preferred.
Ongoing Health
Loofah has chronic dry eye in both eyes and will require lifelong daily eye drops and ointment to keep them healthy.
Training & Support
Loofah is housebroken and crate-trained, a significant achievement given her past. She may experience temporary setbacks when adjusting to a new home, but with patience, consistency, and reassurance, she will continue to gain confidence.
