Meet Chanel, a brave and resilient 3 to 4-year-old terrier mix with a heart of gold! Chanel's journey began in a crowded New Mexico shelter where she was found abandoned and utterly terrified. She was even on a euthanasia list, a fate she bravely escaped when we brought her to Texas to give her a much-needed second chance. Here, she has truly blossomed into an energetic and happy dog who even donates blood to save other lives. While her transformation is incredible, Chanel is still working on building her confidence and learning to trust. She adores toys and soft squeaker balls, though she can be a bit startled by loud noises and is still learning how to play with them. Due to her past, she can be a bit flinchy when hands reach towards her, so she'll need a gentle and patient family who can give her the space and time she needs to feel safe and loved.
Ideal Home
Chanel would thrive in a home with a patient and understanding family who can help her rebuild her faith in humanity. She would also benefit from having a canine companion who can show her the ropes.
Ongoing Health
Chanel is up-to-date on her vetting, which includes DAPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines, as well as being spayed/neutered, on flea and heartworm prevention, and microchipped.
Training & Support
Chanel is still learning to trust and can be flinchy when hands reach towards her. She will need continued positive reinforcement and patience to help her overcome her past trauma.

Transporation
Chanel is currently in Texas. Transportation is available to VA, PA, CT, VT, NY, UT, ID, OR, TX, WA, TN, KY, IN, IL, WI, MN & OH, LA. AZ is coming soon! Specific pick-up locations and times will be determined. The adoption and transportation fee ranges from $100-500, with custom transport routes available upon request at an additional cost. Texas adopters have a flat rate transportation fee of $250 within the state. Our transport vehicles are equipped with air conditioning and attendants for your pet's comfort, and you can follow their journey on a private Facebook event page. For local pick-ups at our Angleton, TX location, there is a $75 fee that includes all vetting and a starter kit.
