Meet Snoop, a handsome 3-year-old fellow with a heart full of love and a personality full of quirks! Snoop is a devoted companion who cherishes his people, especially children. He does take his time warming up to new folks, particularly men, and prefers slow introductions. Snoop has a zest for life, enjoying playtime, leisurely walks (he's a leash pro with a gentle leader!), and is often seen proudly carrying his favorite sticks and plush toys. He's a champion snoozer and loves nothing more than a cozy cuddle session on the couch or a warm spot by your side at night. Snoop has a healthy appetite for all things delicious and also serves as a vigilant guardian with a good bark to alert you to anything unusual. While he's an expert at hogging cuddles and would ideally be the only dog, he might learn to share his affections with a patient, assertive canine friend who enjoys playful wrestling and can hold their own. Snoop is navigating the recent loss of his mom and would thrive in a home offering kindness, patience, and understanding. He's also ready to embark on a training journey to become the best dog he can be!
Ideal Home
Snoop would do best as an only dog, but could potentially live with a patient and assertive dog friend who enjoys playing and can handle his size. He should be in a home without small animals due to his prey drive. He would also do well with bigger kids who can play and cuddle with him.
Ongoing Health
Snoop is generally healthy, but as an owner surrender, he is still adjusting to new routines and environments.
Training & Support
Snoop is working on respecting boundaries, understanding his size, not jumping, and improving his listening skills, including reducing barking at perceived intruders. He needs continued training to build confidence around new people and manage situations responsibly. He also needs to be let out for potty breaks shortly after eating.
