Lou Loomie Big Ears Big Heart

Lou Loomie is a delightful approximately 5-month-old, 30lb Lab/Aussie mix with a heart as big as his comically oversized ears! These ears are his signature feature, giving him the most endearing, goofy expression, but it's his affectionate nature that truly captures hearts. Lou is a wonderfully balanced boy – he enjoys playtime and walks but is also perfectly content to relax at home with his favorite people. He thrives on affection, leaning into cuddles and soaking up every bit of love he receives. He's also dog-friendly and would likely do well with confident, adult dogs who can show him the ropes, though he'd also be a happy only dog.

Ideal Home

Lou would do best in a home with experienced dog owners who understand the importance of consistency and clear boundaries. A family that enjoys getting out and about but also appreciates quiet evenings at home would be a great fit. A backyard for him to stretch his legs and explore would be ideal.

Ongoing Health

Lou is up-to-date on all vetting, including vaccinations, deworming, and flea/heartworm prevention. He has been spayed/neutered and microchipped.

Training & Support

Lou is doing very well with potty training, achieving about 85% success with a consistent schedule. He is highly motivated by treats, making him an eager and quick learner for positive reinforcement training. He is also crate trained and settles nicely after an initial few minutes of protest. Continued crate training is recommended for structure and routine.

Lou is located in Texas. Wags offers nationwide transport for an additional $87 surcharge. Drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
