Sweet, resilient, and ready for a home! Tom is a handsome 3-year-old Bully mix with a distinguished black and white coat, weighing in at about 45 lbs. He was rescued from the euthanasia list at a crowded Houston shelter and has spent the last two years in boarding. Despite his long wait, Tom remains incredibly sweet, affectionate, and always maintains a joyful spirit.
In his kennel, Tom is a calm and respectful gentleman, never disturbing his toys or bedding. But when he gets out into the play yard, his playful personality truly shines with energetic zoomies and pure delight! He adores people, greets everyone with enthusiasm, and is wonderful with children.
Ideal Home
Tom would thrive in a home with a yard where he can stretch his legs and enjoy playtime. He's looking for an experienced adopter who can provide the structure, leadership, and love he's been patiently waiting for. We recommend homes with children 10 years and older to ensure the best fit for both Tom and his future family.
Ongoing Health
Tom is healthy and low-maintenance. He is heartworm positive and is currently receiving treatment.
Training & Support
Tom is crate trained, potty trained, and comfortable with handling, grooming, and vet care. He enjoys the company of other dogs but is also happy to be independent, making him adaptable for various homes. He will benefit from consistent leash training and a confident handler who can provide structure, as he doesn't yet know many commands and can be a bit stubborn at times.
