About Lola : The Tragic Story of a Mama Dog

At just 2 years old, this sweet lab mix girl Lola has already overcome so much, yet she remains one of the sweetest and most gentle dogs you could ever meet. Rescued from a high-kill shelter in Houston alongside her newborn puppies, she showed nothing but trust and kindness toward everyone around her, even while caring for her babies. Lola had quickly become a staff favorite thanks to her calm, loving nature and incredibly easygoing personality. Her foster family described her as “the best dog in the universe” — she is quiet, well-mannered, affectionate, and wonderfully easy to handle. Lola settles beautifully into home life and simply enjoys being near her people. She currently lives with another dog and young toddler children, and she does wonderfully with both. Lola’s fosters found that she did not do well with very tiny animals and she is currently living in a boarding facility where the staff adore her and think she is an extremely smart and obedient pup. Weighing around 45 pounds, Lola is the perfect medium-sized companion with a calm and gentle presence that would fit beautifully into almost any home.
