Indigo is a sweet, soulful American Bulldog mix with the softest eyes and the biggest heart. This beautiful girl is an absolute people-dog – deeply affectionate, loyal, and happiest when she’s close to her humans. Indigo lives for cuddle time, gentle affection, and being part of her person’s world.
Indigo is energetic and playful, especially outdoors. She loves running freely, fetching sticks and balls, and enthusiastically engaging with squeaky toys. After a good burst of activity, she’s more than ready to settle in for a cozy nap by your side.
One of Indigo’s standout qualities is how well-mannered and obedient she is. She listens intently to instructions, is exceptionally well-behaved, and is not destructive at all when left alone. She is fully crate-trained and does very well with structure and routine, making her an easy and rewarding companion.
Indigo is currently more comfortable with people than with other dogs. She can be reactive around other dogs, but she has been making great progress with consistent training and socialization. Because of this, Indigo would do best as the only dog in the home or with a very experienced adopter who is committed to continuing her training journey.
Indigo is a deeply loving, devoted companion who bonds strongly with her people. She is protective in the best way, eager to please, and endlessly affectionate once she feels secure. Any family lucky enough to welcome Indigo into their home will gain a loyal best friend for life.
If you’re patient, kind, and looking for a special dog to build a meaningful bond with—Indigo may be the one you’ve been waiting for.
Ideal Home
Indigo's ideal home will provide structure, consistency, and positive reinforcement, and will enjoy an active dog who also loves to cuddle. A calm household is preferred, and any potential adopter should understand and appreciate loyal, protective breeds. Indigo would do best as the only pet in the home and would prefer a home with children 8 years or older.
Ongoing Health
Indigo is up to date on core vaccinations and is spayed. She has allergies that are well managed with a daily dose of Apoquel.
