Her foster mom caringly calls her Safy (short for Sapphire because she's a beautiful jewel). After being rescued from an overcrowded home in rural New Mexico, Oweta has officially discovered the magic of safety, soft beds, and endless pampering—and she is living for it!

Oweta is a professional cuddler who lights up with pure joy during snuggle time. Once she knows you, she is your shadow, your confidante, and your most loyal cheerleader. Her devotion is unmatched! She is highly food motivated, which makes training a breeze when treats are involved.

Ideal Home

Oweta is a bit of a shy socialite at first and can be intimidated by new people. She needs a family who will patiently guide her through the big, wide world at her own pace. She is looking for a home that will offer gentle socialization and positive reinforcement training.

Ongoing Health

Oweta is potty trained and reliably uses pee pads when her foster mom is away, though she is still working on perfecting her "I need to go outside" signal.

Training & Support

Leash walking is a work in progress, but her love for food makes turning outdoor strolls into a fun "treat game" a great way to help her master leash manners. Positive, reward-based training will help build her confidence.
