Lucy

Lucy is a 5-year-old, 31 lb Australian Cattle Dog who is ready to find her forever family! She's a smaller-sized Blue Heeler with a loyal, observant, and smart personality. Lucy was living on a chain, but thankfully, she's now in a private foster home in Texas, learning all about love and inclusion. She's described as pretty mellow and easy-going, always up for a game of fetch, and enjoys affection without being needy. Lucy has also shown that she ignores cats and walks nicely on a leash and in public. She rides great in the car and is microchipped, spayed, healthy, and up-to-date on all her vaccines and preventions.

Ideal Home

Lucy would do best with someone familiar with herding breeds, as she exhibits typical Heeler behaviors like supervising, following her people, and giving dramatic side-eye. She can be timid around new people and needs a little time to warm up.

Lucy is spayed, healthy, and up-to-date on vaccines and preventions.

Training & Support

Lucy is potty trained, crate trained (she prefers to sit next to you), and leash trained. She's playful with most dogs, though she might nibble heels if she doesn't like another dog. She can be a little "weird" around small dogs.
