About Ga-leanda
IMPORTANT NOTE: We ONLY post our dogs on Petfinder and Adopt-A-Pet! If you see Hart-2-Heart dogs on ANY OTHER platform, it is likely a SCAM - DO NOT submit an application on that platform!
The adoption range for this dog is limited to NC, SC, northern GA, east TN, DC area, VA, and southern MD. If you are interested in adopting this dog, you MUST contact h2hadoptions@gmail.com directly. There is an application process and adoption fee.
Ga-leanda is a Yorkie mystery mix. She is 5 years old and 13 pounds of spunk, sweetness, with a little sparkle in her eyes.
Ga-leanda is house-trained, attentive, and always aware of whats going on around her. She has that classic terrier spirit, with intelligence and full of curiosity. Ga-leanda plays with different types of toys, but the rope toy is her favorite! When she wants to play fetch, she will drop the rope in front of her foster mom and give a little tap just in case mom didnt see the rope. She happily waits for her foster mom to throw it so she can dash across the room to retrieve it! She sleeps happily in her crate at night.
Ga-leanda gets along well with other dogs and would thrive in a home that appreciates her clever mind and playful heart. She is the perfect blend of lively companion and loyal buddy with a heart thats 100% love. Ga-leanda could be an only dog or have another small dog in the home who is under 20lbs. We would like Ga-Leanda's adoptive home to have a fenced yard where she can run around safely supervised off-leash in a space of her own. She enjoys it very much.
Ga-leanda tends to get underfoot and could be a trip hazard. She would not be a good fit for a home with someone with balance issues or a senior citizen. She may be a small dog; however, she is very strong. She has not started leash training. Ga-leanda is a quick girl and loves to run fast in the yard. She does have a high prey drive and would not be a good fit for a home with cats.
Ga-leanda will require combing and regular grooming and has done well for the groomer.
WE REQUIRE AN ALL-ADULT HOME WITH A SECURELY FENCED YARD. The secure fence must be at least 4 feet or higher with gaps no larger than 2.5 inches and attached to the home. An invisible fence, enclosed patio or terrace without grass, temporary fencing, dog pens or dog lots or community shared fencing (dog park) are NOT considered secure fencing. If your fencing has "puppy pickets" (or is supplemented with garden fencing), it needs to be at least 36 inches high from the ground up AT THE LOWEST POINT. No exceptions.
We are an all-volunteer organization, and in addition to saving dogs, we have other responsibilities, so we appreciate your patience and understanding during this process. Response time can take up to 5 business days.
Please inquire only if you are willing to come to Greensboro, NC to meet the dog after we schedule your home visit. We do not ship dogs or put them on transports.
Veterinary Care: All Hart-2-Heart Rescue foster dogs are spayed/neutered, current on heartworm prevention, parvo/distemper, bordetella, and rabies vaccines, and are professionally groomed. She had a dental cleaning and necessary extractions.
Adoption fee: $500
